| dc.description.abstract | Football has become the universal game in the world and has participation in most places in the world and by more individuals than any other sport on the planet. It has the ability to connect, promote closeness, and get the public around a widespread action, on occasion mainly in inexplicable circumstance. Many organizations that advocate for peace are using sports as aim partial way to maintain the cooperation past the initial stages to help resolve a conflict by bringing people together and reconciliation between divided communities. Peace should be sustained through long-term efforts which should be from the grassroots. The possibilities of football as a mechanism to build connections with peace promotion through football at the amateur level can highly contribute in peacemaking. If applied correctly, football programs can promote social interactions as well as have the capacity to extend beyond. Lasting peace can be upheld if football as a building block for fighting violence; therefore it becomes a very useful and effective strategy in conflict resolution. | en_US |
