    Abstract
    Traditional healers have used plants to prevent or treat infectious diseases since time immemorial. Natural products of plant origin are therefore a potential source of novel antimicrobial agents.These results partially support the reported traditional medicinal use of these plants and shows that they are potential sources of new antimicrobial agents
