Five plaster of Paris casting bandages including Nairobi Enterprises, Salvagyps, Helm, Plasrun-gyps and Veronese, available on the Kenyan market were evaluated based on their resistance to abrasion. The mean loss in mass per square area for Nairobi Enterprises and Salvagyps was significantly lower (p<O.05) indicating that these two products were more resistant to abrasion. A new method of evaluation of resistance to abrasion is also described.en
