    Abstract
This study set out to investigate the adoption information communication technology in human resource management among large manufacturing organizations in Nairobi. The objectives of the study were; to establish the extent to which large manufacturing firms have adopted information communication technology in human resource management and; to determine the challenges faced by these firms in adopting the use of information communication technology in human resource management. A survey was carried out and data was collected using questionnaires. Respondents were heads of human resource departments in these organizations. Data was analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively using means, proportions, frequencies and percentages. The findings of the study were that a large proportion of these enterprises have not fully adopted information communication technology in human resource management. These organizations attributed this to lack of sufficient financial, technical and employee skills. The study recommended that organizations pool resources and take information communication technology programmes a priority if they are to compete internationally. Further, it also recommended that organizations should develop human resources with skills on information communication technology ICT as a proactive measure in their quest to fully respond to the challenges and exploit opportunities as a result of developments in information communication technology.
