dc.description.abstract | The IDIS Journal of International Studies and Diplomacy is a quarterly peer reviewed
publication of the Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies,
University of Nairobi, Kenya. The Journal aims at generation of knowledge to
ignite academic debates, provide policy recommendations for state and non-state
actors, as well as inform the general public on current issues, events, and
processes in the International Studies discourse.
The scope of the Journal covers the broad disciplines that defines the study of
international studies such as; international relations, diplomacy, peace and
conflict, international security, international development, and international
political economy.
The IDIS Journal of International Studies and Diplomacy espouses a nonpartisan,
non-ideological and non-political principle. It promotes fair scholarly
debates on academic topics of interest with a view to stimulating insightful
understanding and discussions of key international relations issues and events.
The Journal accepts scholarly publications by authors from allover the world
and publishes original manuscripts which are theoretically and empitically well
informed and grounded on existing theoretical or conceptual frameworks in the
subject matter. The submitted articles will be subjected to a peer review process
conducted by independent reviewers with expertise in the subject area addressed
by respective articles.
