    Abstract
Access to justice is a very broad notion. The right of justice guarantees that every person has access to an independent and impartial court and the opportunity to receive a fair and just trial when that individual's liberty is at stake. Access to justice is also linked to judicial independence and legal literacy.' Access to environmental justice can mean two things. In broad sense it means ensuring that everyone has an equal right to a clean and healthy environment regardless of his or her means, where they live or their background. Access to environmental justice also means being able to secure access to law in resolving environmental concerns.
