    Abstract
    Introduction to the study: This study examines the socio-economic implications of corruption in the Nairobi city county government on the residents of Nairobi County. The study explores the impacts of corruption on the wellbeing of the residents of the Nairobi County. In addition, it aims to find out the nexus between bad politics and the fight against corruption as well as provide empirical literature on the relevant legal and institutional framework for mitigation of corruption. The chapter therefore, provides the background of the study, statement of problem, research objectives, research questions, justification of the study, the empirical literature review and research methodology.
