dc.description.abstractBusinesses operate in an environment that is unpredictable and is characterized by a high degree of instability and in order to operate a business successfully in such environment and conquer market dynamics, strategic leadership and understanding is required. Strategic leaders develop the competencies, direction, and control of an organisation that are focused on accomplishing its goals and objectives. RSM Eastern Africa LLP faces stiff competition from other companies in the same industry which has led the company to adopt different strategies to enhance their performance. One tactic used is strategic leadership practises, yet it hasn't been proven through empirical research if this has any significant impact on how effectively they perform. The objective of the study was to establish the influence of strategic leadership practices on the performance of RSM Eastern Africa LLP. This study was based on upper echlon’s and path-goal theories. The research adopted a case study research design and data was collected using an interview guide. Qualitative data was analysed using content analysis. The study established that RSM Eastern Africa have adopted setting strategic direction, enhancing core competencies, adopting training and development as part of the culture, democratic leadership style, bureaucratic leadership style and laissez-faire as the prevalent strategic leadership practices. In order to successfully thrive in a dynamic environment and meet corporate objectives, RSM Eastern Africa LLP determined that these practises were important. It has been demonstrated that using strategic leadership practises to build a feeling of shared purpose and comparable values among employees who are working towards the same goals is effective in establishing and enhancing relationships among co-workers. RSM Eastern Africa LLP might increase staff productivity and reduce operational expenses by pooling more funds and resources to invest in technology and innovation. By offering value-added services that adapt to the changing needs of its clients, RSM Eastern Africa LLP will be able to draw in more businessen_US
