dc.description.abstract | Women have significant influence in circumstances where they revealed their willingness to execute task assigned to them, by offering comparatively reasonable ways of involvement and implementation of the projects. Women in underdeveloped countries should be enabled to participate in the execution of community initiatives because they are often the ones who are closer to the families and completes tasks and needs in their communities. This study aimed at the influence of Women participation and performance on emergency response projects in Greater Yirol County. It was bounded by four research objectives which are; to find out the influence of women participation in Labor Contribution on Performance of Emergency Response Projects in Greater Yirol County, South Sudan ,to investigate the influence of women participation in decision-making, to investigate the influence of women Participation in asset creation, and to investigate the influence of women participation in peace building on performance of Emergency Response programs in Greater Yirol County, South Sudan. During the data collection, 234 forms were distributed to project staff to fill. In the process, 195 were collected back and comprehensively checked for reliability. This gives the response of 83 % which is a consistent response rate for data analysis. The majority of respondents (87.4%) were female, although some male partakers were involved to seek out their understandings on women participation. Respondents' age distribution showed that the majority fell within the productive age group of 30-49 years. Regression Model revealed that the independent variables i.e. (labor contribution, decision making, asset creation, and peace building capacity) collectively explained 44.6% of the difference in the dependent variable, on the performance of emergency response programs. The ANOVA analysis showed significant relationship between the two variables. The coefficients indicated that peace building capacity had the strongest positive impact on project performance, followed by labor contribution and decision making. Asset creation had the weakest impact, although it was still statistically significant. Therefore, women need to be involved and engaged more in strategies that will positively impact their performance in project execution for better results | en_US |
