In the contemporary business landscape, it is essential for organizations to maintain competitiveness. To achieve this, the adoption of an outsourcing practices emerges as a feasible choice. The objective of this study was to establish the influence of outsourcing practices on competitiveness of Family bank in Kenya. This study was based on the Dynamic Capabilities View (DCV) and competitive advantage theory. In order to carry out the study, a research method known as a case study was applied. The primary data for the research was gathered via the use of interview guide that included open-ended questions in order to achieve the goals of the study. The Primary Sources were seven (7) respondents from Family Bank’s Procurement, Production, Warehousing, Transportation, Distribution, Sales, and Finance departments were interviewed since they have direct experience with outsourcing. Content analysis was used to make sense of the data that was acquired. Based on the results of the study, it has been determined that the competitive advantage of Family Bank is influenced by the use of outsourcing tactics. Based on the aforementioned analysis, it can be argued that Family Bank has the potential to successfully navigate a rapidly changing business environment by strategically using outsourcing practices that align with their available resources and capabilities. When making decisions on competitive tactics, organizations may choose to use outsourcing methods in order to establish unique or significant roles that include a range of duties. The study recommends that, it is essential for Family Bank to allocate more resources towards doing comprehensive research and gaining a deeper grasp of their sector and the operational frameworks that govern its operations. This will guarantee that the organization makes outsourcing choices that are based on well-informed and substantiated facts. Additionally, the use of outsourcing tactics will contribute to increased efficiency and a higher likelihood of achieving desired outcomes.
