Any nation's degree of road infrastructure development has an impact on expenditures, manufacturing costs, markets accessible, and the creation of jobs. The construction of roadways is becoming more and more important to governments. Unfortunately, the majority of road construction endeavors wind up going over budget and taking longer than expected to complete, which results in an increase above the initial agreement cost. This research set out to examine the effectiveness of road construction initiatives in Kisumu County as well as the involvement of stakeholders. The study also aimed to determine how the success of road construction initiatives in Kisumu County was impacted by the involvement of stakeholders in project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and assessment. The study's target population consisted of 239 participants, and it used the technique of descriptive research. A random sample of 150 was established using Yamane formulas. The methods utilized to choose participants were Census sampling, Purposive, and Stratified Randomization. A structured questionnaire that was administered by the participant was used to gather the primary information, and desk and research methods in libraries were used to gather secondary data. Conceptual and content validations were used in the study. Using Cronbach's alpha (α) coefficient (0.843), reliability was assessed. The investigator obtained pertinent authorization to gather data. The data were examined using both inferential and descriptive methods. Descriptive statistics included frequency distribution, mean, standard error, standard deviation, and percentages. Multiple regression and person correlation were used in the inferential analysis. The study discovered that the involvement of stakeholders at the outset of the project had a significant impact on the success of road construction projects in Kisumu County. The study also discovered that the involvement of stakeholders in project planning had a major impact on the road infrastructure projects' success in Kisumu County. The study also found that stakeholders' participation in project implementation had a major impact on the success of road building projects in Kisumu County. Additionally, the study found that the involvement of stakeholders in monitoring and assessment greatly affected the efficacy of road infrastructure projects in Kisumu County. In order to strengthen stakeholders' individual dedication to their responsibilities, the research suggests that stakeholders participate in a variety of project starting activities, such as creating papers to which they may sign as significant as feasible. Similar to this, in order to increase operation, stakeholder should be engaged with a variety of project oversight and assessment tasks, including cost control, acquisition administration, as well as quality control.en_US
