dc.description.abstractPurpose- The objective of this study was to redesign and redevelop the County Coat of Arms particularly focusing on Nairobi County, with the aim of fostering cultural identity and promoting regional unity among its diverse population. Objectives- This study was guide by four objectives; Evaluate the existing CoA of Nairobi County, its visual elements, historical context, and cultural representation; Analyzing the existing rules and regulations that determine the formulation of CoA; Analyze of Nairobi County's cultural and historical aspects, identifying symbols, themes, and narratives that can be incorporated into a redesigned CoA. Design/Methodology- This study employed a Pragmatism research philosophy and survey method for data collection. The study population consisted of 35 staff at the Department of Social and Culture at the Nairobi City County offices. Out the 35 administered interview guides distributed 21 interview guides were duly returned. Findings- The study finds that the Coat of Arms for Nairobi County should be redesigned and strongly reflect its diverse cultural heritage and Nairobi County should consider including national days, cultural celebrations such as Maasai culture and the Nairobi festival, and elements representing governance and national identity as emphasized by the majority of respondents. Practical Implications-Additionally, addressing the awareness gap through education and emphasizing inclusivity further strengthens the Nairobi County’s connection to the redesigned CoA. Original/value- This study seeks to analyse the essence of CoA design and the Nairobi County integral components and activities. The study links the redesigning of CoA and county activities as well as the Nairobi county.en_US
