Change management is a strategic approach that helps bridge the gap between an organization's current situation and its desired future state, focusing on smooth transitions for individuals and teams. Strategic Change Management (SCM) takes this a step further by integrating change management principles within the organization's overall strategic planning process. The concept of organizational performance underscores the collaborative efforts of diverse assets, including human, physical, and capital resources, all directed towards shared objectives. This study set to study the influence of strategic change management on performance of the Public Service Commission of Kenya. This being its objective, this study draws upon two theories highlighting strategic change management's influence on organizational success: Institutional theory as the anchor theory, while Organizational Change Capacity was the supplementary theory. A qualitative case study approach was employed, utilizing interviews with key personnel within the PSC. Thematic analysis revealed several key findings: The PSC utilizes a multifaceted approach to stakeholder involvement, emphasizing transparency and tailoring to specific situations. The "Citizen-Centric Public Service" vision resonates with the desire to serve the community, but some request specifics, measurable goals, and better internal communication to connect it to employees' daily work. Transparency in communication is a strength, with the PSC utilizing multiple channels. The PSC demonstrates a strong capacity for change management, with data-driven strategies, a dedicated team, and a culture of continuous learning. The influence of change management on performance appears positive, but there's room for improvement in measurement and addressing potential downsides like change fatigue. The study concludes that strategic change management has a positive influence on the PSC's performance. However, there are opportunities to enhance stakeholder involvement, refine the vision statement, improve communication strategies, and strengthen change management practices
