dc.description.abstract | In the public sector, strategic management methods are now widely accepted as being crucial to anticipating and managing service delivery successfully as well as addressing new concerns that are likely to arise more quickly. Therefore, rather than improving service delivery on an episodic basis, public service managers could improve it on a sustainable basis by adopting the more comprehensive approach of strategic management techniques. Public organizations must establish a connection between their ongoing service delivery procedures and their strategic management practices. The main research objective was to define correlation between strategic management practices and service delivery at the Kisumu County Government (CGK). A descriptive survey design methodology. The study's target group consisted of 74 senior managers and executives from the CGK. A census survey was applied because everyone was in contact. Structured questionnaire was executed to gather data, which was analyzed both descriptive and inferential statistics. Multiple regression analysis showed that the delivery of services was positively impacted by strategic management practices. The research revealed that strategy implementation had the most important impact on service delivery, then strategy control, and finally strategy formulation. Thus, the research concluded that service delivery was significantly and favorably affected by strategy creation, strategy implementation, and strategy control. The research suggested that senior executives of the CGK should prioritize developing, putting into practice, and overseeing the initiatives they have implemented through efficient coordination and communication. It also suggests extensive instruction, rewards, and recognition for the effective and successful performance of service delivery. The research also suggests that the CGK create an adaptable strategy implementation process that will enable the government to quickly adjust to its environment, utilizing its advantages and strengths to deliver high-quality services while mitigating its disadvantages and possible threats resulting from the prevailing political factors. | en_US |
