dc.description.abstractIn today’s rapidly evolving competitive landscape, businesses must adopt effective strategies that enable them to implement both offensive and defensive actions to maintain a strong, sustainable position. Organizations are using competitive strategies more frequently in today's quickly changing business environment in an effort to improve performance. The main objective of this study was to establish the influence of competitive strategy on firm performance at Triad Architects Company. The study0was guided by0 porter's theory of competitive advantage and the resource-based view. The research adopted a case study design approach. This study relied on data from primary research. This study relied on data from primary research. An interview guide was provided for the collection of primary data. The study participants comprised of five members of the senior management team at the Triad architects namely: the managing director, head of0finance and0accounting, head0of strategy and compliance, head of human resource and head of risk and Internal audit. It was found out that Triad Architects has successfully carved out a niche in the architecture and design sector by focusing on specialized services such as high-end residential, commercial, and sustainable architecture. It was also revealed that Triad Architects employs a focus strategy by targeting specific segments, particularly high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients, and sustainable building projects. Lastly it was revealed that Triad Architects' competitive strategies, including differentiation, focus, and elements of cost leadership, have positively influenced its organizational performance in the Kenyan market. The study concluded that Triad Architects' use of niche market identification, differentiation, and focus strategies has enhanced its ability to deliver value to clients while ensuring sustainability and growth in a highly competitive industry. It also concludes that Triad Architects has achieved improved organizational performance, marked by increased client satisfaction, higher project completion rates, and a strengthened market reputation. The study recommends Triad Architects should continue to strengthen its brand identity by emphasizing its unique value proposition, innovation, sustainability, and cost-effective solutions. Triad Architects should invest in ongoing training and professional development programs for its employees, especially in the areas of sustainable design, technology integration, and project management.en_US
