Workplace violence remains a pervasive issue globally, disproportionately affecting women, especially those in the informal sector. This study aimed to assess the forms, factors, effects and propose measures that can be adopted in addressing workplace violence against women workers in the informal sector at Kigandaini Jua Kali Market, Kiambu County. The research employed a qualitative approach, combining in-depth interviews with 30 women workers and key informants. The findings revealed a prevalence of multiple forms of violence, including verbal abuse, physical violence, economic violence, and sexual harassment. Contributing factors identified include gender discrimination, age, job insecurity, and hierarchical power imbalances. Workplace violence significantly impacts women's mental and physical health, financial stability, and overall well-being. Women employed various coping strategies, such as seeking support, avoiding perpetrators, and self-protection. To address this issue, the study recommends advocacy campaigns, education, and inclusive policies to promote women's rights and safety in the informal sector.en_US
