    Abstract
This study was done to investigate the Effects of Financing Facilities on small scale businesses owned by women entrepreneurs in Kinoo location, Kikuyu Division of Kiambu District. The study covered availability of financing, accessibility of the entrepreneurs to financing, relationship between financing and performance of business in terms of employees and growth of net worth. A study was done through interviewing a sample of thirty two women traders in Kinoo location of Kiambu District. This was thought to represent a true rural setting where little research has been conducted. The data was collected and analyzed into frequencies and percentages by the researcher. The findings reveal that women engaged in business to earn income to provide for their families. It was also observed that they engage in business related to women usual activity. Women so~rces of funds are mainly savings, donations, and rotational saving credit associations. Businesses which are funded through such small funds can do better than those which are not. Recommendations are advanced for policy, practice and further research particularly in the rural areas. Policy makers should propose for more village polytechnics and change of attitude of financial institutions towards financing women. Rotation Saving and Credit Association should be closely studied and made into a viable project for capacity building of women entrepreneurs.
