    Abstract
This study identified and analysed the factors internal to the organization, which affect the activity of communication. These factors were identified in order to provide a comprehensive understanding of organizational communication process. The methodology used was a case study approach coupled with the grounded theory method of qualitative analysis. Consequently, the study established that there were no communication structures to facilitate effective communication among the KNLS staff This has led to existence of frustration, stress and suspicions leading to workers loosing faith in management. The study has recommended various possibilities for diminishing the identified barriers and its consequences is to establish a communication strategy that takes into account the essential parameters of by whom, how, when and what information is to be commercial. Finally the study gives directions for future researchers in areas that could interest them.
