Retirement and ageing experience the case of Muranga district, Kenya

Abstract

The study explores retirement and aging experience in Murang’a district, Kenya. The study set out to investigate the consequences of retirement on the retiree and the family and also the determinants of such consequences. Literature on retirement and its consequences was reviewed. Gaps identified and hypotheses formulated. A questionnaire was constructed and administered to a sample of retirees in the district.
