    Abstract
This study is aimed at developing interpretation and evaluation strategies that integrate various data types for prediction of new groundwater sources as well as efficient management of existing water resources. The already existing water points that were drilled by Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Water Development Department, in conjunction with Kenya Finland Cooperation (KEFINCO) and other available hydrogeological data have been used to test both remote sensing and GIS as tools that can effectively spatially analyze the data for both exploitation and management purposes. In order to achieve this, collection of data from literature, maps, borehole records, Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, field observations and analysis of remotely sensed data have been used to create a hydrogeological model of the study area.
