    Abstract
    The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of female labor rights in the Informal sector (Jua Kali) of Nairobi Gikomba Market. The study was carried out in Nairobi province chosen due to convenience of time allowed and financial resources. From the research finding the female workers at the Gikomba market spent years of work with their current employer without promotions. The kind of harassments or violence they experienced included Sexual harassment and assaults. According to the study majority of the respondents were not aware of their legal rights as employees
