Extent of use of ICT in promoting accountability in kenya government (a case of the kenya national audit office)

Abstract

Information Technology (IT), if well aligned with the objectives of an organization has the potential of enabling an organization achieve its mission. Government Ministries/Departments are usually slow in adoption of ICTs and there may be the danger of the IT not being well aligned with the objective of the Ministry/Department. This study was thus aimed at analyzing the extent to which Kenya National Audit Office uses Information Communication Technology (lCT) to promote accountability in Government. The current state of ICT is reviewed to gather information on how the Office uses and governs IT.
