Use of the internet to disseminate research information: a research website

Abstract

The importance of research information in development has been recognized and accepted internationally. This study looks at the dissemination of research information in Kenya by using a Web enabled database. A system analysis and design was undertaken. Users may query the system for all their research information needs. The system enables users to e-mail researchers of interest to them, access the Institutions' Websites, and to access the research publications abstracts. The Website will be beneficial to researchers, academicians, decision makers, policy makers, investors, information providers and members of the general public
