A descriptive retrospective study was done
on 308 patients managed at The
Kenyatta
National
Referral
Hospital
with a suspected diagnosis
of Carcinoma of
These patients
had been
managed
during
the
five
year
January
1980
and
December
1984.
The
aqes
of
the
patients
ranged
from
22 years
to
100
years.
The
modal
age
group
was
60-64
years.
The
mean
age
was
56
years.
Patients
who
were
in
the
geriatric
age
group
(age
65
years
and
above)
were
27.7%
of
the
study
population
.
