    Analytical and numerical solution for the shock tube problem

    Abstract
    This report treats the development of a shocktube problem for the simulation of flow 1 described by the one dimensional Euler equations. The shock tube problem is an example of Riemann problem and is a very useful test problem for discretization schemes. We present an analytic solution and thereafter a numerical solution due to a Weighted Average Flux function (WAF).
