A new genus in the subfamily Nothopodinae with description of four new species from East Africa (Acari : Eriophyoidea : Eriophyidae)

Abstract

A new genus and four new species are described. Neofloracarus guajavae gen. et sp. nov. and Phyllocoptes lantanae sp. nov. were found on guavas and Lantana camara, resp., in Kenya, and Aculus didymbotryae sp. nov. and Vasates rhois sp. nov. were found on Cassia didymbotrya and Rhus sp., resp., in Tanzania.
