Abstract

A Partial e-Interpretation of the Reasons for the Decline of Local Government in,Kegya This thesis attempts to evaluate the image of local government councillors in Kenya which, it contends, has been greatly misrepresented by Central Government servants both during the colonial period and in the post-independence period. The First Chapter is a simple historiaal record of the evolution of local government institutions in Kenya covering ,the period from 1924 to 1945.
