A comparative study of stock management in building maintenance management within Nairobi area

Abstract

This study constitutes a comparative study of stock management in building maintenance management wi thi n the Nairobi AI-ea' of Kenya . The study has investigated the role played by materials in the building maintenance process and how lack of such materials affect maintenance operations. It has also looked at materials used in maintenance of buildings, their methods of procurement, stored and issue and the problems that arise from this process and W3YS of minimizing costs of materials in maintenance operations , The study was carried out using a case study approach involving the Ministry of Works, the Kenya Railways Corporation and the Kenya Bweries Limited.
