Motel
Abstract
The site of the scheme is in Jinja Town on the
Trans-African Highway. It is to assume a suburban
residential atmosphere.
The motel is designed to cater for motorists.
These will be:
a) The long distance travellers on the Highway,
who would use it as a stopover.
b) Businessmen, for meetings and accommodation.
c) Tourists, who are guests of Jinja town. In
Jinja town are some tourist/holiday makers
attractions. These include Owen falls Dam,
Jinja Sailing Club, the source of the Nile -
the longest river in Africa, etc.
d) Finally it will cater for families; on
holiday or transit to other countries.
All these types of clientele have been catered for in
one way or another as detailed on later.
The car for resident guests is to be parked near
each guest's room, this will make it easy for the
guest to move to and from the room to the car
