    Abstract
The incidence of deep mycotic infection due to Streptomyces somaliensis in Kenya and the Sudan is referred to and the common radiological appearance reviewed. Two patients having unusual manifestations are reported. In one skull vault involvement caused raised intracranial pressure. The other patient presented with a pathological fracture of the femur and subsequently acquired a further infection at the opposite ankle.
