The paper compares the preoperative localization of stenosis in the lacrimal passage after digital dacryocystography with the operative findings in 23 eyes of 22 patients in the years 1988 to 1991 at the Munich University Eye Hospital. In a very high percentage (95.6%) there is a positive correlation. The discussion shows the advantages of the method and includes a review of relevant literature.en
