    Abstract
In a zero-grazing unit 59 goats, 47 sheep and 15 calves were fed L. camara (prickly-stem type); 6 goats, 7 sheep and 5 calves died with generalized jaundice and liver and kidney lesions; they recovered after symptomatic treatment. High blood AST, alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin and BUN values were found the second day after intake.
