    Abstract
The testicles of 96 rams and 120 bucks was examined by palpation and by ultrasonography for the diagnosis of pathological lesions. 26.9% of the animals examined had palpable lesions while 19.4% had ultrasonographically detectable lesions. Histopathological and gross observation on specific ultrasonographic lesion types confirmed ultrasonography was a reliable and rapid method for the diagnosis of testicular pathology and could be incorporated into the routine methods of clinical examination for testicular health in rams and bucks where applicable.
