    Abstract
    A critical analysis of the postharvest management programme for reducing maize losses implemented by the Rural Structures Unit (funded by the Swedish International Development Agency). The technical appropriateness of the programme, technical constraints hindering adoption, and extension and socioeconomic considerations are discussed.
