    Abstract
    World-wide inflation has had a serious impact on the economics of many countries.Kenya has also had its share of the problems caused by inflation. In this thesis we have attempted to look at how unionised labour force in Kenya have been compensated for the rise in the cost of living especially between the periods 1970 and 1975.
