The impact of the collaboration between the International Agricultural Research System and the National Agricultural Research System in Kenya

Abstract

A study designed to assess collaboration and impacts which the International Agricultural Research Centres (IARCs) have had in Kenya. Gives a background of Kenyan agriculture, its production potential and infrastructure. Reviews the national agricultural research system in Kenya with emphasis on structure, budget, staff and the impact of research on agricultural production and development. Also reviews the work done by the IARCs in promoting national agricultural research i.e. initiating research projects on various crops.
