Scheduling and Control of Transport,labour Force and Material in Nairobi City Council's Water Department

Abstract

This study concentrates on the repair and maintenance work performed by the Operations and Maintenance Section of Nairobi Cjty Council's Water and Sewerage Department. The research shows that the present system is operating inefficiently and it also highlights the inefficient areas. Recommendations are made for improvements, especially in the communications system and in the scheduling and control of transport, labour and material.
