    Abstract
This study examines the sources of finance for Eldoret based Chemist Outlets. The study is intended to highlight problems faced by the Chemist outlets in securing finance . This study has been necessitated by the perpetual shortage of drugs in Eldoret based pharmaceutical outlets and the existence of peculiar diseases such as Rift valley fever and highland malaria in Eldoret town and the surrounding areas which has been aggravated by population increase in the last ten years. Drug supply has thus become a critical factor in this region and most if not the entire population in the region, depend on drugs from chemist outlets located in Eldoret town. . This research is thus intended to help in alleviating problems faced by chemist outlets by coming up with findings which will be used by individual companies, government bodies, and other organizations that can be of help in the pharmaceutical Industry as a whole. This will have the indirect effect of improving health standards which in turn leads to higher productivity in the region and improved standards ofliving.
