Developments in Automated Library Networks With Special Reference to Kenyan Universities

Abstract

This dissertation reviews the existing automated library networks terms of the current technology, source of funding, service provision, structure, management and trends. The applicability of these networks to the Kenyan university libraries is discussed and a proposal for an automated library network for the country's national university libraries is made.
