Abstract
Discusses in detail the role played by the Cooperative Movement in Kenya since it was started. Discusses also the cooperatives contributions towards Kenya's GDP and towards its economic development as a whole. Looks into ways of promoting the development of small cooperatives particularly for the rural areas of Kenya
