The use of qualitative and quantitative research methods in differential mortality analysis’, population and health and development in Africa

Abstract

This paper discusses the use of both qualitative and quantitative research methods in differential mortality. It uses both quantitative data and several case studies drawn from Western and Central provinces of Kenya to illustrate that both research approaches can be used simultaneously and in a complimentary way.
