    Abstract
This report is on radiation contamination mapping of Mrima Hill in Kenya's south coast. A survey, covering the whole hill and the surrounding areas was carried out using a contamination meter. The gamma dose rate is extremely high in some sections of the Hill possibly due to thorium and rare-earths. The upper and the lower levels of external gamma radiation doses are calculated at 10670 mrem/yr and 1372 mrem/yr, respectively, assuming continuous exposure. These levels are observed to be approximately 50 times more than the ones from normal natural background doses. A number of recommendations have been made.
