    Abstract
Theproject proposal, had stipulated to work on the operations of the cash office and this was to cover cash and cheque recording determination, querying the database for taxpayers payments advice, addition of the taxpayers, generation of receipts payments and generation of reports based on payments and cheque bounced. This was found that it was not possible until a database was built which could cater for all the different type of taxpayers status. This implies that the first main task was to come up with a well maintained database which could give all the status of the taxpayers. Otherwise, it shows that without a well maintained master database of all taxpayers coupled with their status ie archived etc the operation of the cash office is almost impossible. Systems analysis of the cash office could also not be included since there was a number of operations going on in the section. These are as stated in the organization structure of the department there is the Tax Modernization research going on in the section and this would have involved me and the staff of the section and could have disrupted the operations of the section which is the backbone of the section. Nevertheless the project has well dealt in the type of assessment which is raised and can be used for counter checking in the payments in the cash office. At the same time the project has well built a database for the section which can be used against the taxpayers identification for transactions entry. The next phase calls for the integration of more modules
