As part of the over all and increasingly comprehensive study of primates other than men , considerable interest is now being paid to members of prosimii. Fundamental studies of their locomotors habits are now being /undertaken . All the lorisinae share a similar method of progression and have highly organized vascular bundles or Rotia mirabilia in the limbs. The arteries and veins in those complexes are more or less parallel and linearly arranged; the whole structure being enclosed within a fascial sheath in which major nerves may pass. Several authors have suggested that this particular type of vascular organization could be related to the ability of these animals to maintain a strong prehengile grip with w both hands and feet. Others have thought that it is basically related to a function of the card vascular system where they could be blood reservoirs , or set as various pumps, or that is a mechanism for conserving body heat by the principles of counter current heat exchange........en
