    Abstract
The purpose of the study was to establish the relationship between supply chain management practices and performance of small and medium enterprises in Mombasa County. The objectives of the study were to determine the supply chain management practices adopted by small and medium enterprises in Mombasa County and to establish the relationship between supply chain management practices and performance of small and medium enterprises in Mombasa County. The study used descriptive statistics with a target population of eighty small and medium enterprises within Mombasa County. The researcher concluded that small and medium enterprises have implemented various supply chain management practices like collaboration with suppliers and customers, as well as sharing some information across supply chain parties which also leads to building business relationships that in return enhance performance of their businesses. The researcher recommends that the enterprises need to embrace technology more and built their supply chain relationships based on trust and commitment so that they can benefit more in terms of saving cost across the supply chain and also improve on turn-around -time. Further research should be done to establish practical tools that small and medium enterprises in Kenya can apply to measure supply chain performance in their enterprises so that they can utilize the benefits of supply chain management practices.
