Evidence of Ischaemic heart disease in patients with chest pain as seen at Kenyatta hospital
Abstract
The 52 National Hospital with anterior chest pain which wasnontraumatic and noinfective in origin.
It was either sugvenature i.e. The patients included in this study ere all age of 3years with an average age of 47.6 years. There were male and female patients. Males in the sixth and seventh decade of life e r e found to Incidence of ischaemic heart disease as compared females and younger males.
Sedentary life, hypertension and diabetes mellitus were not observed to be particularly associated ih this study. Cigarette smokingg as also present in only 28%of the patients ,with IHD.
Hypercholesterolemia was not sought for because of the lack of facilities.
