    Abstract
    The process of agricultural mechanization is defined from various points of view, its history, its progress and its effects in various parts of the world and in various economic environments are reviewed. A case is argued for the appropriate mechanization of Kenyan agriculture and the establishment of a homegrown agricultural machinery industry in the country
