An Overview Of New Developments In Renewable Energy Sources

Abstract

An attempt is made in this paper to review most recent developments in certain renewable energy sources: solar, wind and ocean thermal power. In particular, solar energy is treated in some depth since a breakthrough in its competitiveness with conventional energy sources seems to be already in sight as opposed to earlier forecasts pointing to the turn of the century.
