On the Performance of Video Band Complex Correlators

Abstract

The performance data for various correlation schemes for Gaussian signals converted from the intermediate frequency band to the video band are derived and discussed. The folded-band conversion scheme is shown to have significant advantages for continuum observations in radio astronomy.
