45TH GRADUATION CEREMONY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2011
Abstract
COLLEGES OF AGRICULTURE & VETERINARY SCIENCES, BIOLOGICAL & PHYSICAL SCIENCES, EDUCATION & EXTERNAL STUDIES AND ARCHITECTURE & ENGINEERING
The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all those students from the above four Colleges who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2010/2011 0) and members of the public, that the 45th Graduation Ceremony will be held on Friday, September 9, 2011commencing at 9.00 a.m. at the Chancellor's Court next to the Central Catering Unit, Main Campus. The following is pertinent information:
CLEARANCE OF FEES
Only those Graduands who will have completed paying the fees due to the University by Friday, August 26, 2011 will be allowed to graduate.
GRADUATION/CONVOCATION FEE
Each graduand must obtain the Graduands clearance form, have it signed by the respective Department/Faculty/Institute/School and pay a compulsory Graduation/Convocation fee of Kshs. 1,000/=.
INVITATION LETTER
The Invitation letter is available for download on the University Website (www.uonbi.ac.ke) and will also be sent to the graduands email account. Download the Letter
HIRE OR PURCHASE OF ACADEMIC DRESS
The academic attire will be available for hire from Monday, September 5 to Thursday, September 8, 2011, from the respective College Registrars at a fee ofKshs. 2,000/=. Those intending to purchase the dress should contact the Central Examinations Centre at the Chiromo Campus for details. The hired Academic dress must be returned to the respective offices by Friday, September 23, 2011 to avoid surcharging.
REHEARSAL
The rehearsal is an integral part of the Graduation Ceremony. All Graduands intending to participate in the ceremony must attend the rehearsal on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10.00 a.m. at the Chancellor's Court next to the Central Catering Unit.
INVITATION CARDS
While hiring or purchasing the Academic Dress, each graduand will be given two invitation cards for two guests. Persons without invitation cards will not be allowed into the Chancellor's Court on the Graduation Day.
PUNCTUALITY
Graduands and invited guests are advised to arrive early on the Graduation day and be seated by 8.00 a.m.
